Dead Tree Books,
Read through and threw
Books are more than just ink and paper.  They are worlds and dreams.  Books are alternate realities and clarified accounts of things long past.  They are poetry and recipes.  We learn how to build things and how to live.
Books are our friends
Doing what we love.
At Dead Tree Bookstore, we want to share with the public the very best in paperbacks, hardbacks, childrens' books and media, all at bargain prices.  We will provide the variety of books of a larger book seller with prices that make the books available to people on a budget.
Come in.  Look around.  Relax and see what we have to offer.

Gift Cards Are Great

Give the gift of books.  Share dreams, fantasies, and worlds.

With our great prices, a $20 gift card goes a long way.

The one you love will be able to choose from thousands of title, and pick exactly what they want.

This is the perfect gift.

And if we don't have to book that you want, let us know.  We will order it for you.

Our Amazon Store

Maybe we should drop a couple of names:

  • The Glass Castle: A Memoir by Jeannette Walls
  • The Whole Town's Talking: A Novel by Fannie Flagg
  • The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook: Recipes and Wisdom from an Obsessive Home Cook
by Deb Perelman

We go into detail on the condition notes on every book that we sell.  The books are sent out just as soon as possible.

Our appearance on SA Live
On Tuesday, January 3, we were featured on SA Live.
SA Live did a wonderful story about us.  They made us look good, and for that, we are grateful.
A couple of corrections, though:  We are at the corner of South Flores and Southcross.  Not all of our books are $3 or less.  Most of them are, but we are getting a growing collection of rare and more valuable books.  Most of them are listed at our store on Amazon.
